HOW PROELLIXE VIBRATION WORKS
The science behind Proellixe Vibration workouts has been developed principally in the former Soviet Union, Italy and the United States. Vibration training was used first in the Soviet Union 30 years ago in secret programs for athletes and ballet dancers. Dr. Carmelo Bosco in Italy extended the Soviet science and developed the concept of whole-body vibration, as used on the Proellixe machine. NASA, the United States space agency, conducted research with astronauts to prove the benefits of whole body vibration.
When you stand on the vibration platform of the Proellixe machine and start the machine, the platform transmits rapid but very small vibrations upward through your body. Your muscles automatically respond to these vibrations with resistance, and the result is up to two hours of ordinary-workout muscle toning in just ten minutes of Proellixe workout.
Specific rates of vibration are available on the Proellixe machine for each program Proellixe delivers pre-packaged. These rates have been developed by close scientific study of the results of using the machine in test subjects. The Proellixe programs are scientifically-advanced means of toning and shaping the body to promote youthfulness and wellness.
THE PROELLIXE – TECHNOLOGY
When a muscle fiber is stretched, it contracts by reflex (stretch reflex). By simply standing barefoot on the machine, vibration is generated and sent through your body, which passively stretches your muscles. This causes millions of muscle contractions, which increases muscle tone and size. As muscle density increases, your metabolic rate goes up, as an increase in muscle mass requires more energy.
Because whole body vibration is a “passive” exercise, neither perspiration nor lactic acid is generated. What this means for you is no increase in your heart rate, no need for a shower after, and no achy muscles the following day!

ABOUT WHOLE-BODY VIBRATION (WBV) EXERCISE MACHINES
Clients start by placing their feet on either side of the platform. Each time the right leg is accelerated upward (push-phase), the left leg is accelerated downward (slack-phase). At the same time, the right leg is subjected to flexion, while the left leg undergoes extension. As a consequence, the pelvis is rotated upward on the right side, and downward on the left, which elicits flexion in the vertebral column.
During the passive extension of the leg, the flexor muscles are activated, and during flexion, the extensors are activated. Likewise, repetitive rotation of the pelvis elicits alternating activation of the hip adductors and abductors of the iliopsoas muscles and the erector spinae muscles. There are hardly any muscles that are not activated during vibration exercise.
Research is confirming that WBV stimulates muscle spindles and initiates muscle contractions. WBV elicits muscular activity and thus is a form of exercise rather than passive vibration.
Originally developed for the space program to prevent bone density changes in astronauts, studies show a positive correlation between WBV and increase in peek bone density. Other studies cite improvement in lumbosacral proprioception, strength, power and velocity.
